This incident resulted in the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
