Despite embarking on their first-ever European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS ought to be enough to seal direct passage to the last 16, especially after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a platform for several Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second game in succession.

Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
